GOVERNOR PAWLENTY REAPPOINTS PFEFFER TO NURSING HOME ADMINISTRATORS BOARD - January 28, 2010


Saint Paul – Governor Tim Pawlenty today announced the reappointment of Jennifer Pfeffer to the Board of Examiners for Nursing Home Administrators.

 

Pfeffer, of Mankato, is the executive director of Pathstone Living in Mankato, a senior care facility owned by Ecumen.  She is also Ecumen’s regional director for southern Minnesota, where she oversees the leadership of three additional facilities.  She has more than 22 years of long-term and senior services experience, and has been a licensed nursing home administrator in Minnesota since 1987.  Pfeffer earned her master of science degree as well as her bachelor of science degree (magna cum laude in public health) from Mankato State University.  She serves as a Eucharistic Minister, is active with the Mankato Rotary, Aging Services of Minnesota committees, and is secretary/treasurer of the board of Greater Mankato Growth, Inc. – the local economic development and chamber organization.  Pfeffer, who has been a member of the Board of Examiners for Nursing Home Administrators since 2006, is reappointed to a position for a non-profit nursing home administrator to another four-year term that expires on January 6, 2014.


The Board of Examiners for Nursing Home Administrators licenses nursing home administrators, investigates complaints, and has the authority to revoke or suspend an administrator’s license.  The board consists of nine members appointed by the Governor, as well as ex-officio members from the Minnesota Departments of Health and Human Services.
